Purton Barn was born from the experience of creating and living in beautiful wooden spaces. For many years our head craftsman has been designing and building wooden structures that work perfectly and bring a peacefulness and link to the past that feels historic and timeless. 

Put the guest house in the wrong place? Just move it. Want to take your own music studio with you when you move house? You can. We have been creating moveable living spaces for many years and have moved them with our clients as they move on in life. Every space is built on wheels for relocation.

 A warm and cosy shell from floor to ceiling. Our original shepherd huts have a minimum of 90mm dense insulation within the carcass construction, more than any other huts. This means they are suitable for accommodation at any time of the year and require very little energy to heat in winter or to cool in summer.

We use centuries-old traditional joinery techniques handed down through generations to ensure that our furniture has heritage and durability. It means extra strength, sustainable insulation, extra attention to detail and extra care.  Each space we create is handcrafted by skilled carpenters using sustainably sourced timber. 

Every space we create is unique, because we listen to what you are looking for. The final product is perfectly customised; everything from selecting the wood type to the final coat of paint is thought about. By working closely with you we create something that is both specific for your needs and immediately feels recognisable to you.
